Clayton Morris: So how should the White House respond to this growing anti American sentiment? Joining us now, from Washington D.C., terrorism expert Steve Emerson. Good morning to you Steve.

Steve Emerson: Good Morning.

Morris: What happened. That 2009 Cairo speech from President Obama promised a new beginning - one based on mutual respect. What happened to that new beginning?

Emerson: It was the most naive speech I think he's ever given because in the first two rows, in Cairo, sitting before him were the invited guests, who were they? They were the top members of the Muslim Brotherhood. Let's be very clear. The Muslim Brotherhood, which was founded in the 1920's, is clearly and 100% a totalitarian movement that believes in conquering the world. Its election and success in the last month is the culmination of a 90 year effort the establish supremacy not just in Cairo but in the world itself. That's why there were riots not just in Egypt and the Middle East. There are riots in France there are riots in Africa there are riots in Europe. The fact that they are demanding that we take down the film, that we not insult the prophet, that we not uphold the first ammendment.

Not only are they imposing it on their own peopleā€¦ By the way, a hundred thousand Christians who live in Egypt have fled Egypt in the last year because of the incredible violence committed against them as a result of the election of the Salafists and the Muslim Brotherhood who despise the Christians. Just yesterday a Christian was convicted for "insulting the Prophet".

The reality is that this new regime is a totalitarian regime. It's friendly with Iran. It's friendly with Hamas. It's grievances are based on the fact that we support Israel. It's not that we support Israel it's the fact that Israel exists. This is an enemy regime and the fact is that 48% of the Egyptian people voted against it and if we don't stand up against it and try to destabilize it, honestly, the way we should have destabilized the Ayatollah Khomeini when he was first elected we are going to see the new rise of the Muslim Brotherhood block take over the Middle East.

Morris: Steve, let me ask you about a member of the Muslim Brotherhood who is President Morsi of Egypt. In an interview yesterday he said "it's up to Washington to repair relations with the Arab world." When asked if the U.S. is an ally he said "it depends on your definition of an ally." He went on to say "its excessive administrations have purchased the hatred of the region. " This administration helped pave the way to his election and a freer Egypt. What in the world should President Obama do in this situation?

Emerson: Listen I hate to bring up a historical episode that people think is too often talked about but in 1939 British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain signed an appeasement deal with Adolph Hitler basically ceding him the right to take over Poland [correction: 1938, Czechoslovakia Sudetenland] and Hitler realized that that appeasement gave him the right to start World War II. The reality is that we are now emboldening a regime that is going to start taking over the entire Middle East.

Morris: What should we do? What should he do?

Emerson: We should not be crying out that we are sorry as we just did in a commercial in Pakistan for having the first amendment. Suppose I did a film. In Fact I am doing a film, it's coming out next week. It's called Jihad in America: The Grand Deception. We've been working on it for two years. It's a two year documentary about the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States and showing the extensive collaboration between the Obama Administration and the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States. It's pretty shocking because I think that reveals his philosophy. I think Mr. Obama is not necessarily a Muslim, I don't believe that, I think he is pro-Islamist and that philosophy is allowing totalitarian views to be imposed around the world and even in our country. It's very dangerous, it should be confrontational not friendly.

Morris: Alright, terrorism expert Steve Emerson, we've got to leave it there. Thanks for being with us.
