[DMA] U.S. authorities charged two men — Mahdi Mohammad Sadeghi and Mohammad Abedininajafabadi — with illegally exporting advanced U.S. electronic components to Iran in violation of export control and sanctions laws. Prosecutors say the technology was intended for use in military drones operated by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Abedini also faces charges of providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization, linked to a drone attack on a U.S. military base in Jordan that killed three American service members. Sadeghi, an employee of a U.S. microelectronics manufacturer, was arrested in Massachusetts, while Abedini was arrested in Italy at the request of the United States.
