[SDCA] San Diego residents Basaaly Saeed Moalin, Mohamed Mohamed Mohamud (aka Mohamad Khadar), and Issa Doreh conspired to provide money to the al-Shabaab terrorist group, al-Shabaab, which was designated a foreign terrorist organization by the Department of State in February 2008. In November 2013, Moalin was sentenced to 18 years, Mohamud to 13 years, and Doreh to 10 years in federal prison for providing material support to al-Shabaab. Ahmed Nasir Taalil Mohamud, another individual implicated in the case, was sentenced to six years in prison in January 2014.
