Ali Muhammad Brown was charged in separate cases in New Jersey and Washington state in connection with the murder of a New Jersey teenager and three men in Seattle, WA. Brown was sentenced to life without parole in the killing of New Jersey college student Brendan Tevlin. The sentence followed Brown's guilty plea to multiple charges, including murder, robbery and terrorism. Brown has yet to make a plea in the case involving the killing of three men in Seattle in Washington state. According to court records, Brown is a devout Muslim and the killings were in retaliation for U.S. foreign policy, particularly in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, and Iran.
