[DMN] Hamza Naj Ahmed was indicted for conspiring to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). Ahmed is also charged with attempting to provide material support to ISIL and for making a false statement in a terrorism investigation. A superseding indictment filed in May 2015 added Zacharia Yusuf Abdurahman, Hanad Mustafe Muse, Guled Ali Omar, Abdirahman Yasin Daud, Adnan Farah, and Mohamed Abdihamid Farah to the February 2015 indictment charging Ahmed with conspiracy to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization. The superseding indictment also added charges of attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization against Omar, M. Farah, Abdurahman, Musse, and Daud. In June 2016, Omar, Daud, and Farah were convicted for conspiring to join ISIL and commit murder in Syria. Zacharia Yusuf Abdurahman was sentenced to 120 months in prison and 20 years of supervised press release.
