[DOH] Amir Said Abdul Rahman Al-Ghazi of North Olmstead, Ohio, was charged with attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and trafficking marijuana. Al-Ghazi is alleged to have communicated with ISIL members in the Middle East and created propaganda videos for the terrorist group. Al-Ghazi, who changed his name from Robert McCollum, pledged his support to ISIL and Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi via social media in 2014. Al-Ghazi was sentenced to 16 years in prison for providing material support to ISIS and being a felon in possession of firearms.
