[WDNC] Justin Nojan Sullivan of Morganton, North Carolina, was charged with attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and federal firearms violations. Sullivan pleaded guilty to one count of attempting to commit an act of terrorism transcending national boundaries. He was sentenced to life in prison for attempting to commit an act of terrorism transcending national boundaries.
