[NDIL] Marlonn Hicks pleaded guilty to distributing information regarding the manufacture and use of explosives. In communications with a government informant, Hicks discussed means by which to carry out and attack within the U.S that included sending a document to the informant containing detailed instructions on how to make explosives. Hicks believed that the informant was a like-minded individual who would use the document and instructions to conduct an attack within the U.S. using explosives. Hicks intended the attack to be carried out in the name of the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS). Hicks was sentenced to 15 years for distributing information on explosives and poisons for use in a terror attack.
