Court Case

USA v. Sadoun, Nabil

February 2010
Dallas, TX
Hamas

[NDTX] Nabil Sadoun, a former board member of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), was ordered removed (deported) from the United States by a U.S. Immigration Court in February 2010 in Dallas, Texas. Sadoun had been placed under removal proceedings by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Sadoun was ordered removed from the United States by the Immigration Court after being found deportable under a 21-count Notice to Appear (NTA) charging document for lying to immigration authorities about his connections to Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas-linked organizations. Sadoun refused to appear for his immigration court hearing, remaining outside the U.S. in Jordan and thus he was found deportable in absentia after abandoning his right to appear to contest the charges.
